Oven-crisp chicken Wings are an excellent and healthier alternative to traditional fried wings. The wings are cooked to perfection, resulting in a crisp exterior and a juicy inside. Ideal as snacks, appetizers, or main courses, they will be an instant hit at any party.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds chicken wings tips removed and wings separated at the joint
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for heat
  • Cooking spray

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Place a wire rack on a baking sheet and spray it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Prepare the wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy skin.
  • Coat the wings: In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Add the chicken wings and toss them until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  • Arrange the wings: Place the seasoned wings on the prepared wire rack in a single layer, making sure they are not touching each other.
  • Bake the wings: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, flip the wings and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. The total baking time should be about 50-60 minutes.
  • Serve: Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch, blue cheese, or a spicy buffalo sauce.
